What: Youth Group Cooking Program **CURRENTLY ON HOLD****
When: The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from September to June. From 3:15 to 5:30 pm
Where: The Shatford Centre Kitchen.
What: The youth will cook and serve the meal to support family support group. The youth will have the option of joining the support group or eating together in another room. The support group will then have their guest speaker. This will be held in room 108. The building is wheel chair accessible with MINIMAL escape routes for children.
The third Tuesday will be from 3:15-6pm and the group will cook a meal and enjoy it together.
Our Goal is to teach (1) Create healthy food choices on a limited budget (2) providing a social activity that revolves around healthy food choices (3) Having the youth group learn kitchen and food prep. Safety and Skills (4) and finally having the youth group provide a meal for the Support group, which is made up of families with young and newly diagnoses children.
